World War II 1939-1945

Updated 28/01/02

Although about one quarter of my collection is German based most of it is still in pretty stock condition (Dragon MG34 team, Cots and 21st gear).  I seem to spend forever going “will-I-do-this-or-will-I-do-that” so this year’s resolution is to stop buying German stuff (snigger) and start using what I have.  So on with the show.

CC Joe with 21st head, weathered 21st FJ Splinter tunic, custom made trousers (linen don't you know), helmet and weapon straps have been replaced with leather.   Needs a serious dose of weathering.  Good idea using the bandage to cover the wrist joint.

The British para is an Elite Brigade body with 21st uniform + sten gun and Cotswold webbing.  Helmet is old CC Joe American M1 with the rim shaved off, netting applied, painted up and some hessian added.  The same helmet also appears in the Falkland shots of the para.

Ah...the Germans.  I just cannot bring myself to do anything to these chaps, call it rarity value if you will.  From L to R - Hans (my first Dragon :-), Anniversary Hans, Steiner, Fritz.    In the background is an old Cherilea Action Man halftrack thing, that may (though probably won't) be used as the basis for a WW2 German halftrack.  Oh the small silver thing in the foreground is a very old Matchbox Tiger tank......
