Given the 20th anniversary of this war and the lack of any figures (at the moment...) this is one of the few areas that is still open to creation. My brother collected one of those weekly magazines that you can buy a hardcover binder for and this has been the insipiration for some of these guys. It was called The Falkands War - From Invasion to Victory and was published by Marshall Cavendish, a lot of the illustrations though will be familiar from the Osprey series of books, in fact I think people like Kevin Lyles did some of the artworks.

Set was created using the inlay from the bbi F15 pilot as background, some artifical grass
and some rocks. Anyway the image represented is a Paratrooper from the latter stage
of the war.
Ingredients ?
bbi - body builder figure, backdrop
21st Century - beret with hand carved badge (it will do until the next order to
Cotswold !), pouches and web gear, german para boots.
Dragon - smock, Linh's pack
Sunny Smile - quilted trousers - I knew they'd eventually come in handy.....
Rifle is an old Action Man SLR, repaired and covered with hessian to hide the joinings
(!), scarf is some old netting dyed green.
Lordy, this is Marine Allen as an SAS operator ! I knew he was pale but crikey....
Anyway, this image is an SAS trooper during the Pebble Island raid. Uniform is a
Cots Woodland uni. It looks brighter than any other uniform and so looks close to
the reference pix. Underneath he's wearing a 21st SWAT TAC vest for bulk. Gun
is from the pile of M-16 derviatives you gather over time. Webbing and gear is all
21st. Ski mask is home made and in the flesh looks better, the middle pic is a bit
off. His butt pack is the backpack off a smaller figure, repainted.
Methinks the man too pale though so expect a transplant soon !
